The
OLCC continues it's reign of terror as two additional
clubs are
ticketed for the "Lewd conduct" administrative
rule recently invented by the OLCC as a tool
to harass and intimidate adult entertainment
clubs. Apparently, the entertainers touched
their own breasts and exposed their genitals
in a sexually lewd manor. ACE asks what determines
"sexually lewd behavior?" That's the point here.
Nobody seems to know. The administrative rule
covering this is so vague, it leaves total discretion
up to the inspectors to determine who is in
violation. ACE cries foul ball on the OLCC on
this one. It leaves a wide range of interpretation
as to how such a rule can be enforced. What
one inspector finds lewd, another may not. ACE
says this is not fair enforcement. Get out of
the morality police business already. Our schools
are closing early, youth sports activities threatened
from budget cuts and the OLCC continues its
battle using valuable state resources to attempt
to regulate what type of entertainment you can
see as an adult. Regulate alcohol not
minds! Adult entertainment is a legal enterprise!
ACE
wishes to make clear its position on the OLCC.
We see the need for an alcohol licensing and
regulator agency for alcohol. We feel it should
be taxed not sold by the state. We also believe
that the OLCC should be more accountable to
the industry it exists for. Legal business owners
should not live in fear of government harassment
simply because they operate a venue which features
adult entertainment or Hip-Hop music. Or perhaps
you are simply on the OLCC's shit list. Either
way, there needs to be some accountability.
For example, in order to get rid of several
hundred minor adult entertainers, the OLCC drafted
an administrative rule which effected thousands
of 18-21 year old comedians, musicians and contractors
who can no longer perform in or service an adult-only
area posted by the OLCC. Way to go guys. Our
government dollars at work helping to de-simulate
our economy even further.
Any
businesses ticketed for lewd behavior violations
should contact ACE immediately. We can help
you.
ACE
welcomes two new members to its ever-increasing
ranks. The first: Roc's Dollhouse in Beaverton
is back! After many problems I think they
are finally on the right track, and proving
it by joining ACE. Now under the direction
of Phil Jerrel 503.292.4286. Mark my
words with their new format, they will
be a great alternative to the larger showclub
on the west side. They have also graciously
offered their club for an ACE fundraiser on
May 17th, 2003. I'm running this one boys
and girls, so you know what that means. This
will be so wild you'll never know you're raising
money to assist ACE in fighting for your rights!
You won't believe the shows being planned
by some of the top entertainers in the city!
Any entertainers wishing to donate a performance
or theme show please call Rick @ 503.330.0784.
The
second club is way out in the little town
of Rockaway Beach, Oregon (about 15 minutes
north of Tillamook.) I've been out there a
few times and it's fun, relaxed and clean--great
as a getaway. Entertainers can get a free
vacation and make money at the same time (they
give you a free hotel on the beach!) Interested
entertainers can call Mike or Tammy at 503.355.2266
for more information or to book yourself.
As
always, serving the adult industry,
